Plaintiff is the widow of Roland Harkins. Her father Michael Hickman (dec.) gave her a tract of land in Sullivan County. Her brother Peter (dec.) suggested a trade of their two adjoining lands and a conveyance was made and the trade took place before his death. It was sold to the defendant to pay off debts of Hickman's estate. Since no new deeds were made for the trade of land, the defendant, who lived on the one property for 7 years, then attempted to eject Harkins from the one tract to the other. |

Hauchen claimed title to certain 54 acre tract of land but Morrell was given full title to the tract entitling him to recover funds from the sale of cross-ties cut on the disputed property. Anderson had bought a tract 300 acres from James D. Rhea in 1862. Talbot had obtained a judgment against William G. Rutledge and Rhea, his surety. A tract of 113 acres was levied and sold to Talbot, and Anderson charged that said tract was part and parcel of the tract sold to him by Rhea three years before. |

The Blackleys filed suit to recover $2000 from the defendants for an advance they provided the defendants to discharge liens on a farm known as Marble Hall in Hawkins County. The Blackleys exchanged their real estate in Bristol for Marble Hall, estimated at a value of $7700. The defendants alleged that the title to some of the property failed and a building was not completed according to contract. The defendants also filed a cross bill (counter suit). |

Hickman then left to Mississippi & passed away without paying the creditors. D. Sharer, Jr. was also a creditor to the bill and took both sureties portions of the bill out of the plaintiff's property, namely a tract of land. |
