Parker claims Gannon guaranteed $0.10 more per pound of potatoes than any other buyer. After selling the potatoes to Gannon, Parker claims that Gannon refused to honor the contract. Gannon denies the claim that he guaranteed $0.10 more per pound of potatoes and says that he did not have an interest in the potatoes but shipped them at Parker's request. |

The first cases in 1893 resulted in mistrials. In 1894 a final trial sided with the def. James Franklin owned "Kennesaw" a 300 acre horse farm.
