Flora & Thomas, who said Colville (TN legislator) schemed to divest valuable hotel property from Pla. & fraudulently got court to set aside deed. Hotel burned & rebuilt. W.T. died during suit. Add. Scott sued Dixon over land adjoining Dixon's land, claiming Dixon was cutting & removing timber from said land & obstructing road leading to coal bank. Dispute over proper boundary line between the parties' property. Land on east side of Rocky River. James Hillis acquired 640 acres from State per Grant No. 8057, 220 acres of which (including coal bank) son Dixon acquired by purchase per a court decree. (James deeded 320 acres--south half of grant--to Aron Higginbotham & 100 acres to Robert Hillis.) |
