Dyer was a minor under the age of 21 and brought suit through next friend M. M. McCaslin. Dyer was married to Johnnie Dyer, an employee at the dfnt. Corporation. On Dec. 11, 1923 he "fell into an open vat of hot water and was almost entirely submerged therein, where in and where by he was hurt, wounded, and scalded fatally" causing his death on Dec. 12.

View Entry 1920 Della Miller v. A. M. Miller; A. M. Miller v. Della Miller Weakley Petition for Alimony

First case was a petition filed by D. Miller as next friend of Willie L. Miller for judgment against the defendant, the father, for support, education, and maintenance of said child. The bill was an attachment to a case in 1918 where the plaintiff filed for divorce, alimony, and custody. The second case is a suit by A. M. Miller for habeas corpus writ for the custody of W. L. Miller.

View Entry 1905 F. M. & H. E. Gaylord v. I. F. Terry Weakley Debt for Wages

Plaintiffs allege that in Dec. 1903 they contracted with defendant to deliver 2 car loads of holly at $1.50 per crate. They fulfilled the contract & were paid for the first car load, but defendant refused to pay the $247.50 due them for the second car load. They are suing to collect this amount, interest & cost.

View Entry 1898 Illinois Central Railroad Co. v. W. B. Mitchell, admr. of R. L. Mitchell, dec. Weakley Damages for Wrongful Death

The deceased was "a negro boy about 22 years old who had been afflicted for many years with Epilepsy." As he grew older, his seizures became more frequent. Testimony indicates that his father had been warned many times to keep his son away from the railroad tracks. In June 1898, R. L. wandered onto the tracks, had a seizure, and was run over by a train.

View Entry 1899 Martha Jane Dildine v. Illinois Central Railroad Co. Weakley Damages for Wrongful Death

Mrs. Dildine sued defendant for $15,000. Charges railroad with negligence in the death of her husband, John Berry Dildine, who she alleges was struck and killed by one of its trains on 28 Feb. 1898.

McClain won a judgment of $250 against Farmer concerning the cutting of timber. Farmer sued requesting a new trial.
