S. M. Anderson, conducting business in Lebanon Tennessee under the firm name of Anderson and Co., is sued for debt due on an account held by O. C. Kidder, dec. Suit involves the book debt law.

Additional Defendants: Alfred Hunt and Thomas Norman. Plaintiff is seeking, among other things, a Restraining Order against her husband (the primary Defendant). She also wants sole possession of her land and property.

Jonathan Hooker was the son of Ann. She had given up her life estate which included a slave named Tom to her son for a $50.00 payment per year to support her. He was to pay this yearly for her life but failed to do so.

The Complainant alleges that defendant committed repeated acts of adultery with one Jesse Everrett. She contracted a venereal disease which she passed to complainant. Defendant denies the affair and says that complainant committed adultery with Matilda Davis and that he contracted the venereal disease through Matilda or some other "lewd woman."

Thomas Person, a Rev. War soldier was to receive 960 acres. The heirs sold land to Brice M. Garner on Norris Creek, Lincoln County. Thomas Shute was not sure he could locate the land. The heirs of Caleb Hewitt believed that they owned part of same land. An agreement between Thomas Dillon and Thomas Shute to survey 21,580 acres of Military land is also enclosed. This came out of Thomas Armstrong office where the Middle District of land was laid out after the Revolutionary War.

Plaintiff was a school teacher, and defendant was a school director. Plaintiff alleged that defendant was liable to her for his failure to comply with an agreement made for her services and thus sued defendant for damages.

Spinx was accused of murdering Robert Hamilton on March 19, 1875. Spinx's lawyers claimed his confession was obtained by the "flattery of hope or the torture of fear."

Tyson sued to recover $97.20 from Shorter on a deal brokered with a contract which ended up falling through.

The defendants are charged with deceit "in the sale of Jack" (donkey) "which they knew to be unsound." Plaintiffs are sued for damages.

The plaintiff sues the defendant for three thousand dollars as damages for falsely and maliciously charging the plaintiff with the crime of larceny.
