View Entry | 1871 | John D. Alexander v. Abraham Porter | Blount | Personal Property Dispute |
Abraham Porter bought a wagon with his own money for his mother. Testimony says the wagon was made for Abe, but that he wanted to give it to his little brother Sime, but since Sime was a minor he could not own property. Other testimony alleges wagon belonged Abe, Sime, or the mother. A levy was placed on the wagon in Abe's name and was about to be sold. By claiming it belonged to his mother he could keep his property. |
