The plaintiff is the son of the defendant. He and his mother purchased a piece of property together and built a house there. It was supposed to revert to the son after his mother's death, but the father managed to put his name on the property and refused to allow his son to move into the house.

Dispute over purchase of land in 1874, originally owned by B. T. and Henry McBroom. Allegation made that not all the purchase price of land was paid to parties involved. Property was located in the 2nd Civil District, Cannon Co. (two acres?). Other parties: Henry McBroom, Benjamin T. McBroom, Mary E. McBroom; Mrs. Haine McAlexander.

The situation concerns the purchase and sale of a "drove of hogs" on spec but ultimately at a loss, the borrowing and repayment of $500 of the purchase price, and a decision as to whether the two parties had entered into a partnership, whereby they would share the loss equally.

Interesting note -- some of the plaintiffs are also defendants. Case concerns the purchase of property for the building of a school. Issues concern paying the contractors, dealing with an overpayment from a previous judgment, and the problem of sub-dividing the land.
