This is an appeal. Original 1840 case saw John Gillette & Lawson D. Franklin defendants in an ejectment case. The Franklins were charged with breaking and entering, ejectment and damages of $400. The 200 acre tract in dispute is on the French Broad river. Said tract granted to Peter Fine from State of North Carolina in 1787. |
