The case concerns a shipment of strawberries, in what was supposed to be a refrigerated car, to Boston. Along the way, part of a train slammed into this car, bruising and crushing many of the berries, and damaging the refrigeration so that by the time the berries arrived in Boston, they were so badly damaged they could not be sold. |
