Jones sued Adcock for malicious persecution and false imprisonment. Adcock had a Justice of the Peace (R. Black) issue a warrant against Jones for stealing Adcock's money ($10 in silver coins). Jones was arrested under warrant and held in custody until later examined by Black who discharged him. Adcock abandoned persecution. Jones now suing Adcock for $10,000 in damages. |

The plaintiff made a contract with the defendant in 1888 to cultivate his land and he was to furnish the land and a mare. Each party was to bear half of the labor and the plaintiff was to feed the mare used to work the fields. After two months and before the work was done, the defendant took back the mare, halting any yield from the crops. The defendant was damaged $50 for feed provided and a breach of contract. |
