Adams died gifted the slave boy to plaintiff. The gift was a verbal agreement in 1826. In 1848, the plaintiff managed to get possession of the slave and sold him to Allen Y. Wilkinson or his son William Wilkinson. Slave then became possession of Letitia Wilkinson, widow of W. Wilkinson and was worth $900. |
