Plaintiff, First National Bank of Nashville, sued the defendant, J. M. Hill, to recover a $175 draft that the defendant gave to W. F. Peay and was then transferred to the plaintiff. When the plaintiff forwarded the draft to the Lynnville Bank & Trust Co. for payment, it was protested by R. A. Mitchell, Giles County Notary Public, for lack of payment.
