View Entry 1870 William Boond v. Richard Hayworth& Son Grainger Debt

Plaintiff in error was sued by Hayworth and Son for debt due on a note given for the purchase of produce. The original case included A. S. Sellars as a co-defendant. There is a question in this case as to whether or not Sellars can legally be regarded as a business partner to Boond and if Sellars had the legal right to sign their partnership name to a note.

View Entry 1870 William M. M. Lean v. John Brooks Grainger Debt

Brooks left home for the Army is 1862. Before leaving he loaned Lean, the plaintiff in error, $1,000 in Confederate money for the purchase of a mill. Brooks claims Lean has never repaid the loan.
