J. A. Vaughn Sr. conveyed to the defendant a one-half interest in a tract of land for a price of $550. Complainants intestate purchased said land for the defendant J. L. Sain and paid the consideration price, with the understanding that J. L. Sain would repay this amount to J. G. Vaughn. Sain was to execute and deliver to J. G. Vaughn his promissory note and give a trust deed for one-half interest to secure the note. Sain never paid the consideration price "and that is still owing with interest." |

The dogs had a reputation for excellence and their value was around $15,000.00. In March of 1891, Thayer purchased one third interest. He failed to pay to Avent his share of expenses due each year. Suit is to recover money due Avent from Thayer and Duryea and to close out partnership. |

In December, 1921 J. W. Young sold 10 bales of cotton to E. M. McNamee. McNamee issued payment with two checks: 367.16 and 346.42. When Young deposited the checks at the Bank of Saulsbury, they were refused for payment. McNamee placed the cotton in the warehouse of the defendant and receipts have been issued in the name of Harris -Cortner co. for 8 bales and 2 bales in the name of Weil Bros. Complainant avers that he is the owner of the cotton and is entitled to full use of such. |

They claim the defendant, a man of little means, squandered away their inheritance. |
