Additional defendants: Jones McKelvey, admr. of estate of A. T. McKelvey, dec. Wood is the widow of Leonard Wood, dec., who was shot and killed by the defendant. Prior to shooting, Wood was living on land owned by McKelvey, both were farmers. Upon his death, Wood had 5 bales of cotton of which widow wanted to sell to support herself, however McKelvy claimed Wood owed him a debt. Execution levied against Gallathan will be taken out of Plaintiff's property and they feel the execution is unjustified based on dealings of the plaintiff. |
