A. C. Goodyear brought this suit claiming to be the Trustee in Bankruptcy of the Southern Pharmaceutical Company, a Delaware corporation. In August, 1917 the Pharmaceutical Company filed its voluntary petition in bankruptcy and on 9/1/1917 company was adjudged bankrupt and Goodyear was appointed trustee in bankruptcy. Goodyear filed suit to recover $500.00 of common stock paid to the defendant as a bonus- in order to pay company debts. |

Mrs. Sternberger later opened business under her own name. Sternberger sued by Bernheim Bros. for unpaid debt on account of $96.43, with interest. Lawsuit appealed to TN Supreme Court. |
