Reeder purchased an auto insurance policy from National Liberty in 1927, insuring against loss by fire up to $5k if driven, & $10k if stored. He then sold the car to Hugh Calloway retaining the title for deferred payments. While in Calloway's possession, the car burned in a fire, destroying it completely. The insurance company would not pay the benefit, and this suit was filed to recover it. |
