It seems that Mrs. Addie Prince Harrell had trouble with her eyes, perhaps an astigmatism. She seems to have gotten into an accident, but was not badly harmed. She was diagnosed as neurasthenic. What she claimed to the insurance company is not stated here. Much questioning about glasses and nervous disorder.

J. B. Jones, a member of the building committee of the Holston National Bank, hired Ahler Plumbing to install a heating system in his house. Ahler bid on a project at the bank, & did the installation work at Jones' house so that he might recommend the bank hire Ahler. The pump was supplied at a much higher rate and Ahler sued to be relieved of the debt because it was not the price he had agreed to.

Plaintiff refered to as William A. O. Odell. Case involves alleged fraud in the sale of a sorrel mare that Gibbs represented to be a good work mare, a representation Odell claims to be false.

The plntff., admr. of John R. Courier, sued the deft. for $10,000 damages in his death. Courier was struck & killed by a train owned & operated by the deft. on the date of 3 July 1886. Courier left a mother & sister.

A plea of trespass with force and arms in ejectment relative to incident of 1 Oct. 1853, Sarah Knott, owner of a tract of land in the 11th Civil Dist., Knox Co., comprised of 150 acres. Sarah Knott accuses defendant Emmitt Knott of unlawfully withholding the premises claimed by both plaintiffs, asking for damages of $500. Includes last will and testament of Henry Lones, Sr. of Knox. Plaintiff asks for a divorce from the defendant, alleging that he has, completely without cause, "turned her out of doors" & failed to provide for her. She also asks the court to order the def.. to pay her weekly alimony; she also wishes to recover from him attorney's fees & court costs. Smith took out a life insurance policy on her husband Lawrence for $500. The insurance company claims that due to his physical state at the time of filing, that payment on the policy cannot be made, that he was ill when the policy was taken out, and therefore uninsurable. Mr. Smith suffered from ulcers, a perforation of the stomach, and other digestive problems.

Hot Blast Coal was indebted to J. H. Suddereth & L. C. Ely. Suit assigned the debt that Kutsche& Harsche bronze owed Hot Blast to Suddereth & Ely. Pl was awarded a construction contract as a subcontractor constructing fencing. See also many other cases involving A. W. Kutsche.
