Petition to rehear case in light of new facts bearing on dispute and provisions of the federal Bacon-Davis Act. Mays was one of a number of mechanics employed by A. W. Kutsche & Co., contractor for construction of new Knoxville courthouse. Mays argued that because of Act's wage scale, the company underpaid him. Bacon-Davis set rules for wages earned by laborers working on public buildings. Gow Co. was probably a sub-contractor. See also 1582. See other Kutsche cases in Box 888. |
