Luna sued Pyland for killing his dog worth $15. Court ruled in favor of Luna for $10 and costs of suit. Pyland appealed. Defendant stated that dog pilfered meat from his father's smokehouse who told him to shoot the dog. Court found the dog was a nuisance and of no value and gave judgment against the plaintiff. Luna appealed. |

Plaintiff in error was accused of assaulting Columbus (Lum) Smith with intent to commit murder. Smith was at his home eating with his family when the shooting occurred. Shots hit Smith, his wife, and two of his daughters. Smith had an argument with Farris a year prior to the shooting. Farris denies the charges. Casefiles notes that Farris is 68 years old and lives in Caney Spring. Smith's stepson also lived with Farris at the time of the shooting. |
