Laird worked as a clerk for Franklin from 15 Sept. 1890 to 2 June 1891 & 21 Dec. 1891 to 3 June 1892, at rate of $16.66 a month. States that at the time of his discharge plaintiff owed him $289.55 in unpaid wages. Plaintiff maintained that Laird purchased goods from his store while employed there & owes him $104 plus interest which in unpaid.

Since the death of Mrs. Fowler, the defendants have taken charge of the land.
