Case started as R. R. Carter v. A. W. Boyd. Carter claimed ownership of a Grover & Baker sewing machine which had be seized by Boyd. Boyd died while case was still being heard, so his executors were added. Court ruled in favor of defendants. Owen was surety on Carter's prosecution bond & was the one who filed the appeal. |
