Trespass on the case, $200 damages claimed. Cannon had judgment against Thomas Hunt, then deceased, for whose estate Bayles was an admr. Bayles agreed to pay the judgment within 6 mos. if Cannon would agree not to take steps to collect it until then. Bayles failed to pay the judgment within 6 mos., so Cannon brought this lawsuit to recover the judgment. |

Hightower sued Bakers for debt due by note under $500. Justice of the Peace ruled against plaintiff in favor of defendants. Plaintiff sought new hearing, which was initially granted and later refused. Hightower applied for writ of certiorari, charging the justice's judgment was unjust toward him. |

The defendant recovered a previous judgment against the plaintiff for $463. Plaintiff offered William Neal as Stayor. One month later, a deputy sheriff arrived at the plaintiff's home with an execution in his hands and levied his property. The plaintiff late found that Neal had asked that his name be removed as stayor. The plaintiff now charges that proper legal steps were not taken when the stayor was released and the execution was issued. |
