Johnston had a load of goods worth $108.59 shipped from Knoxville to Philadelphia, Tenn. While the goods were being stored overnight at the Philadelphia depot, the depot burned. Johnston's goods were destroyed in the fire. |

The defendant, the Sheriff, levied an execution upon the slaves of the plaintiff as property of John Stanfiel to satisfy an execution in favor of W.R. Morton rendered in Circuit Court. |
