Rowan was sold a tract of land from W. Cunningham, which was subject to a lien and an injunction was awarded to keep them from selling the land to avoid debts. |

Rhea and def co-own a plot of land in Monroe County formerly owned by Isaac Hix, who willed it to his wife Sallie Hix, owner of plot when Rhea, White, & Hix entered into a deed. Sallie died about 12 months prior to case, plaintiff is seeking total ownership of plot. |

Plaintiff & defendants were brothers. John sold a tract of land to William for 2 notes of $175 each ($350 total). After transaction, John moved to Illinois & left the notes w/ Isaac to collect money. William claimed to have paid both notes but then Isaac refused to produce &/or destroy the notes & he could not get the deed from John. William was illiterate while his brothers could read & write. |
