Robert Black died with a probated will, & over $2400 in debt. Before he died, Black was the admr. of the estate of William Black. He took control over the estate and bought and sold property, using money from William's account as he was unable to pay the transactions himself. Suit filed to settle debts & estate. |

In 1860, the defendants executed a deed which conveyed property set out to William Leonard Hiter in trustee for the use and benefit of themselves for life and then onto their children Charles & Gertrude. W. L. Hiter died in 1865 and then plaintiff was appointed as trustee. Juliet Hiter was also mentioned. Juliet, Charles Sr. & Gertrude Sr. were all dec. leaving their children as beneficiaries both of whom were under 21. Provision in deed allows trustee to sell land to pay off debts. |

Parham issued a note to Wilcox in 1861. Wilcox left the neighborhood and gave the note to his son John L. Wilcox, cashier of the bank of Clarksville. Parham claimed he paid the note to C. B. Wilcox. The note itself was lost or mislaid. |

The injunction was filed to prevent the Minors from suing Beaumont, who was Sheriff, after they were issued judgments in their favor from the chancery and circuit courts. Multiple previous law suits awarded the County judgments against the defendants, for which Beaumont pursued levies. |

He had land in Montgomery & Davidson Counties, & a flower garden & cemetery at a house in Clarksville. He stated in the will that the city of Clarksville would be responsible for the perpetual upkeep of the cemetery, & that portion of the land would be left for that purpose. His heirs disputed the terms of the will & their bequests. |

In December 1868 Goodlett entered into a contract with Collier to form a farming partnership for the management of Goodlett's farm. The contract stated that Enoch had produced a crop of tobacco & other products, but was not ready to sell, therefore the proceeds from the product had not been distributed. Enoch became insolvent and this suit was filed to prevent him from selling these products to settle his debts, depriving Goodlett of the profits. |

Allman, in 1861 filed a bill of complaint against the def's in order to enforce a lien on a tract of land in Montgomery County. Allman alleged that he purchased the land at a sheriff's sale, that it had belonged to Burrell Hancock, then sold the land to Corban with flour mill machinery. Corban gave notes for the sale, but never paid the notes, and Allman sued to enforce the lien. |

Baldwin fell into a hole in a city owned street and broke his leg. The hole was dug by city workers and left unmarked and open. He became very ill and was in much pain, staying at the National Hotel in Clarksville for months. He sued for compensation for his injuries. |
