Stewart sued the City of Clarksville for $5000 damages for taking a tract of land belonging to him and converting it to their own use by building a street. Files includes map showing where street runs through plaintiff's property.

Stacker seeks to recover damages for death of husband caused by the Railroad company's negligence; for not giving George Stacker enough time to leave the train after collecting his pay before the train departed. Question as to how much was negligence on Stacker's part vs. the Railroad Company. Court's verdict: Railroad Company owes Stacker's widow $7,000 for damages. Case contained in two folders.

Defendant, a tax collector, used tax monies collected toward payment of his own debt.

Parham issued a note to Wilcox in 1861. Wilcox left the neighborhood and gave the note to his son John L. Wilcox, cashier of the bank of Clarksville. Parham claimed he paid the note to C. B. Wilcox. The note itself was lost or mislaid.

Drane, deceased and payment of the taxes due on estate. Bailey, as a clerk of the state, requested a lien be enforced if necessary.

Action began when the defendant executed a note to the plaintiff for a mule sold to him. The defendant failed to pay the note by the due date, but kept the mule. The plaintiff filed the motion and won judgment for the amount of the note and interest.
