On 2 Dec. 1884 the city of Union City sold part of Washington Avenue, a well used public street, to the firm of Beck & Bransford which constructed a business on the property. Plaintiff maintains that city had no title to Washington Ave. and therefore could not sell it. Also, the building itself is a nuisance & obstruction as the avenue was meant for free & open use by the public. |
