This bill filed by complainants Sanford, Chamberlain & Albers against E. D. Allen & wife in Rhea Co. for the purpose of collecting an alleged indebtedness of $272 and for the further purpose of setting aside a conveyance of certain town lots in Spring City, TN, made by one Jeff Cash to Madge I. Allen who is the wife of the defendant E. D. Allen. Additional Defendant: Madge I. Allen. The plaintiffs were a pharmaceutical supply business in East Tennessee.

View Entry 1875 Euclid Waterhouse v. Nathan Whittenburg, et al. Rhea Land and Title Dispute

Additional defendant: Burton Leuty. Waterhouse sold some "wasteland" along Wolfe Creek in Rhea County to David McAlpine, who eventually sold the land to Whittenburg with the conditions of the original contract (Waterhouse/McAlpine) applied to the sale to Whittenburg. Whittenburg assigned the contract to Leuty, Shirley & Co., yet retained possesion of the land. Only Burton Leuty remains alive, thus his inclusion on the suit. Whittenburg (or Leuty) has not paid the $290 of the orig. contract.

Casey sued McFall for cutting timber from Casey's land & converting it to McFall's use, and also for rent McFall owed Casey. Dispute revolves around boundary line between Casey's land & McFall's adjoining land. Others involved: Solomon Wyrick, William Wyrick & Martin Wyrick, who at one point were in possession of some portion of disputed land, & who (with McFall) were defendants in previous lawsuit brought by Casey.
