Incomplete case; opinion only. Cody, a minor, sued the Iron Company for $10,000 in damages after he was injured while employed by them. Cody was awarded $500. However, John Cody, his father, as next friend, was awarded the money rather than William. William had come of age & was suing for fraud, asserting that he was the intended recipient of the award, not his father. This was a reported case. |
