When confronted Burk refused to return Winney Record suggests William Burk died intestate in MS in July 1840. Heirs: Robert, John, Joseph & James Burk, Sarah Ohebe (Burk) Soward, wife of Amos Soward, & Robert & William Soward. Brown died Sept. 1847. |
