At the time of her death it was stated that Wyatt was not fit to care for his infant son. Wyatt sued for custody of son, claiming the he is being unlawfully restrained by the defendants. |

Defendant is a county judge. I. Marney was married to one Cleve Marney, who was found guilty of cruel and inhuman treatment of the plaintiff and eventually deserted her. She filed for divorce and alimony in a case heard in 1930. C. Marney failed to provide the ordered child support, but the defendant, who presided over the case, failed in his duty to bind C. Marney to an action of the Grand Jury and held the case over with no discretion for the law. |

Ellis was convicted of killing Mollie Scott alias Mollie Reed. Ellis found that a few members of the jury had decided he was guilty before the trial, and petitioned for a new trial. Mollie Scott was found dead with a knife in her hand in a pine thicket. |

Incomplete case; brief only. Adams asked Wright to alleviate some of the weight on his wagon by carrying a 300 lb barrel of coal oil on his wagon. Wright did so, then the two disagreed about what the job was worth. Adams started to pull a knife on Wright, and Wright cut Adams, who died a few moments later. |

Britt was charged with obtaining money on false & fraudulent pretenses. Allegedly, Britt claimed to have taken a bank note in payment from Robert S. Phipps as part of a horse swap, which note Britt then falsely claimed to be counterfeit. Britt then asked to examine other bank notes to determine if they were counterfeit but in fact used that as a subterfuge to steal the notes. Phipps encountered Britt when Phipps was traveling through TN on his way from Virginia to his home in Alabama. |

Three juries couldn't agree so 3 mistrials entered; 4th jury found Steinwehr guilty & fined him $5. Steinwehr described as man of good character, industrious, more than ordinary intelligence, but foreigner so prone to mistakes |
