He soon "violently and against her will feloniously" did ravish and carnally know her. Afterward, "she was attacked with a sick spell... & was sitting by the door fanning herself with a turkey wing--Deft was laying down in the floor with his pantaloons unbuttoned" and [graphic description follows]. Plaintiff in error is accused of assaulting J. S. Riggs. According to Riggs, on the day of the incident the plaintiff was passing by his home when the two began to argue. The plaintiff accused Riggs of not liking him and began using obscenities. The two separated but met again later that evening in a nearby saloon. The two men briefly exchanged words before the plaintiff shot Riggs with a pistol. Riggs lived and testified at the trial. |

Incomplete case; brief only. Adams asked Wright to alleviate some of the weight on his wagon by carrying a 300 lb barrel of coal oil on his wagon. Wright did so, then the two disagreed about what the job was worth. Adams started to pull a knife on Wright, and Wright cut Adams, who died a few moments later. |
