C. C. Keeble was the owner of a separate estate of 27 acres adjoining the corporate limits of Murfreesboro. This case involved a dispute over paying taxes for the said land that adjoining Murfreesboro. According to the act passed by the General Assembly in May 1866 that the said land in question could not be levied a tax against.

Additional plaintiffs: E. A. Lackey, William K. Lackey, a minor, Richard Henning and wife Lucy A. Henning, widow of W.K. Lackey. Additional defendants: J.M. Baird, James F. Fletcher, James P. Baird (all sureties on administrator's bond for W.D. Killough (also Killaugh), Mary A. Lackey, widow of A.R. Lackey, and Amanda V. Lackey, daughter of A.R. Lackey. Brothers A.R. Lackey and William K. Lackey operated a partnership and died intestate 1857 & 1858 resp. Admr was sued for improper performance of duties.

View Entry 1873 Walter Keeble v. John Jones, Clerk and Commissioner Rutherford Debt Dispute

Additional defendants: Albert Jones, Robert Ralston, James Ralston. Case concerns a debt for slaves sold in 1860 from the estate of Mary Hardeman, deceased. Jones under decree of the court sold saves on a credit of the property of the heirs of Hardeman. A. H. Ralson became the purchaser and gave his note with R. S. Ralson & J. H. Ralson as his sureties the note was not paid at maturity and Jones took a judgment on February 1860 for $5445.47.
