Edmund Hall, referred to in the case as "colored," was accused of stealing a gray horse that hadbeenkept in a 100 acre field. The hores belonged to Aquilla Davis. Davis' son testified that the field was large and they didn't account for the horse's whereabouts. He said he had no knowledge of the defendant or when the horse was stolen. |
