William Ledbetter, Circuit Ct. Clerk of Rutherford. In 1819, John R. Bedford sold Farris, def.., 289 acres of land including water rights held by Bedford and his mother, Mrs. Ann Bedford. Farris refused access to water well on this land. Farris responds he did not allow access to chain/rope for use at certain water well.
