Plaintiff in error is accused of transporting liquor. The original case also included Lizzie Wyatt as a defendant. Wyatt runs a restaurant and lunch counter out of her home. Plaintiff in error claims he stopped at Wyatt's to get out of the rain when Wyatt gave him the keys to her cellar and asked him to lock it. While in the cellar, Plaintiff in error found and picked up a jar of whiskey. A constable who had been watching the house confronted and eventually arrested Gregory. |

In 1923, one Jasper Jeffers, Jr. made a note for $400 and put up as collateral security a saw mill and a pair of mules and had the plaintiff as security. The note was not paid and a suit resulted for the sum of $491.30. Another case with the defendant against one F. V. Hamon, who had a one-half interest in the saw mill, which he later gained control of from Hamon. This suit avers that the defendant refuses to recognize the plaintiff's half interest in the saw mill, of which Potter owns the other half. |
