Def. is the Cincinnati, New Orleans and Texas Pacific Railway Co. Pla. was employed as as servant by the Def. and was instructed to use a handcar to deliver a gasoline drum. After the delivery, Pla. was again operating the handcar when a wooden handle malfunctioned causing the Pla. to be thrown from the car. Due to the injuries he sustained, Pla. was unable to work for 4 months. Pla. is seeking damages.

Cause of Action: Money owed on a Promissory Note. Account receipts included.

From taking further action in attempting to collect the debt until the case could be reheard.

Pla. sued State & others re: judgment entered Emsley Jeffers & Ptlffs (as his securities) for revenue collected & to have been accounted for by Jeffers as Scott County Revenue Collector for 1865. Pla. disputing authority for bond, for which original documents have gone missing.

Add. Pla: Trotter Brothers, a mercantile firm, The Handley-Goodman Grocery Co. and Cowan McClung and Co., a mercantile firm. Add. Def. New River Lumber Co. Plaintiffs claim Parnell is indebted to them for goods, wares, merchandise sold and delivered as well as promissory notes. Plaintiffs further claim that the New River Lumber Co. is indebted to Parnell.

Plaintiff is the widow of Curt Keeton (dec.), who was employed by the defendant and was killed during the course of his work. He was accidentally thrown from an automobile driven by an agent of the defendant. At the time of his death, C. Keeton received an average weekly wage of $18.84.

Dispute over defendants cutting 37 acres of lumber from Plaintiff's property. Names appearing in writ as plaintiffs are J.C. Parker, Jerome Templeton, and G.(?) M. Shoemaker.

Plaintiff in error is accused of transporting liquor. The original case also included Lizzie Wyatt as a defendant. Wyatt runs a restaurant and lunch counter out of her home. Plaintiff in error claims he stopped at Wyatt's to get out of the rain when Wyatt gave him the keys to her cellar and asked him to lock it. While in the cellar, Plaintiff in error found and picked up a jar of whiskey. A constable who had been watching the house confronted and eventually arrested Gregory.

Case involves a dispute over $337 and costs of suit executions were issued upon judgment to the Sheriff of Morgan county levied on land orders of sale issued and the land sold for nominal amount failing to satisfy the judgment and execution.

Trespass and damages under $50 for taking hogs belonging to the plaintiff for the defendant's use.

In 1920 & 1921, J.I. Foster & E.J. Foster, constructed 2 bridges in Scott county, 1 across New River at Cordell, & 1 across Clear Fork River at the Burnt Mill Ford. The bridges were constructed in a substandard manner. However, the work had been accepted by County officials & had been used by residents. 2 fldrs. See decree in box ET 74.
