Cause of action: recovery of $1,600.00 on fire insurance policy for a house in Memphis. The policy was issued to S. H. Hardin, the owner of the house. Hardin gave a deed to the Laurenzis. The house burned down, but the insurance companies refused to pay the policy to the Laurenzis. Case fills three folders. |

Plaintiffs- E. D. Thompson, J. M. Thompson, and Frank Thompson, sued the defendant S. B. Anderson for damages for breach of his covenants contained in a land deed conveying certain lands in Crittenden Co., Ark. The defendants said the deed upon which is charged with having been guilty of a breach of warranty, conveyed said property belonging to the defendant and his wife, Achsah B. Anderson, and to the Anderson-Tully Co., a corporation. Court decision appealed. |

Chafee and Chew represented Farabee-Treadwell in this previous case. This case deals with disagreement over the $50 fees due to Chafee and Chew for serving as the lawyers for Farabee-Treadwell. |

Gordon Taylor, son of the plaintiff died and the plaintiff entered into a contract with defendants to bury the son and the plaintiff then paid the defendants. The contract stated the son would be buried in the plaintiff's own graveyard, but the defendants failed to do so and buried the son in another graveyard. Suing for $5,000 in damages for breach of contract. |

Wisner and Company was sending bales of cotton to England and using Kyle and Company to guarantee the bills. Kyle and Company continued to receive the fees after they stopped guaranteeing the bills. Wisner and Company sues to recover those fees of $1875.25. Case fills two folders. |

The defendant agreed to pay fifteen dollars per team of mules and wagon as well as agreeing to shed the mules and take good care of them.
