View Entry | 1822 | Heirs of Stephen Owen v. Armistead Stubblefield | Warren | Land and Title Dispute |
This was only a couple of statements from the case and not the complete case record. The court of origin and the county are not given; however, the county was probably Smith County as A. W. Overton was the clerk that signed the documents. See also Stephen Owen, et al. v. Armistead Stubblefield in box MT 3a. |

View Entry | 1822 | Martha Poindexter v. A. P. Rawlings | Knox | Land and Title Dispute |
Incomplete file; opinion only. Poindexter & Rawlings were involved in purchasing multiple tracts of land over time. Poindexter had difficulty making payments at one time, selling livestock, and baled hay to make up the owed amount. Their agreement expired over seven years ago, and the defendant's attorney argues that the lien is invalid due to the seven year statute of limitations. |
