View Entry | 1828 | John Den, leasee of Ezekiel Norris v. Nancy Bugg | Lincoln | Ejectment-Unlawful Detainer |
The charge reads: "With force and arms she broke and entered the close of the said John Den and ejected him therefrom, to his damage of five hundred dollars." (Note: this case is mentioned in Robert J. Nelson v. William Griffin et al.) Additional Defendants: Richard Fen, who apparently did the actual removing of Den. Bugg then moved into the property, so the landlord, Ezekiel Norris, is also a principal figure in the case. |

View Entry | 1828 | Joseph & William Clark v. James Frazer | Sumner | Ejectment-Unlawful Detainer |
This ejectment case seems to be based on geographical confusion -- there are two Drakes Creeks in Sumner County, & the deed re: property on one of them is not clear. The defendant says he is not guilty of trespass and ejectment because of this mix-up. |
