They say that the bills became a part of the Common School Fund upon the dissolution of the Bank of the State of Tennessee and defendants want to know whether the contract was usurious or not. |

Snuffer is sued for $200.00 as a result of trespass damages. In September of 1836 Snuffer, his mother, Ruth, & his sister all went into Stubblefield's store. Alfred owed his sister $1.50 & allegedly agreed to buy her what she wanted. At some point his sister took some items stating that Alfred would pay, but paid nothing herself. Snuffer was sued to recover the payment. |

Several individuals are listed who are due something. Dunaway had fee simple to tract of land. The tract of land (184 acres) was on waters of Spencer's Creek. Dunnaway widow (Eliza M.) has sued for dower in circuit court. Also testimony whether Dunaway had sold a half interest to a jackass which needed to be estimated in settlement. |

Winbourn died in Hertford County NC in 1793. Murfree's daughter Lavinia married Frank N.W. Burton inherited his claim to the land. Judge Samuel Anderson later purchased and lived on the land. |

Defendant is administrator of the estate of Alfred Hunter (dec.). Plaintiff was sheriff and appointed A. Hunter as his deputy, who gave bonds and security to plaintiff to pay any taxes of collected monies to him or any other authorized person. During the period, Hunter collected $4,582 in taxes and interest. Hunter failed to pay back a majority of the taxes collected, which the plaintiff had to front money for and is now suing the estate for compensation. |
