Add. defendant: G.H. Hicks. Plaintiff is administrator of the estate of Thomas T. Devor (dec.). Devor executed a deed of trust to Hopkins (trustee) for the use of William Hay. Blacknale states that Hopkins and Hicks went to Devor on his deathbed and convinced him to sign a deed of trust stating he still owed them a large sum of money that he had already paid. Blacknale is convinced Devor never actually signed the deed and that it is fraudulent. |

August 1, 1851, defendants said to have built a dam 8'x16' just below the plaintiffs spring causing it to be over run & flooded. Plaintiffs claimed the water became stagnant & poisoned them, causing sickness and malady. Also claim flooding & crop damage. |
