Mahala, Lavinia & Allen Norman charged with stealing and/or receiving as stolen "three midlings of meat commonly called bacon and four joints of meat commonly called bacon," all belonging to John F. Sherman. Trials severed; separately, jury convicted Mahala & Lavinia of receiving stolen property (not guilty of stealing it). No transcript for Allen's trial.
