The plaintiff is sued to provide the minors with a guardian ad litem so they may be made parties to a future case and for the title to the lot for which the plaintiff executed a bank note and paid. |

Plaintiff asks for injunction bond against this action and a lien against the value of her improvements. |

Caleb Powell was the owner of 22 slaves and executed a deed of gift to the plaintiff for that population. The defendant is the husband of a woman said to be the daughter of Caleb Powell, possibly from an unwed woman. The defendant fraudulently obtained a bill of sale supposedly from the plaintiff for the slaves, claiming to have paid $1,500 for them. The plaintiff filed the bill to declare the bill of sale fraudulent and and to remain the owner of the population. |

Newman was in debt to the sum of $12,000 and the personal property and slaves were not enough equity to cover the costs. Real estate willed to C.H. Newman as a widow and the children had to be sold to repay all of the debts. |

Witnesses: Dr. James Rodgers, practicing physician in Knoxville who waited on Mrs. Johnson with Baker. Her case "was a very dangerous and critical one for a long time." She stayed at Dr. Baker's house & under his care for lengthy period. Dr. Paxton also testified. Mention also made of coffin purchased to bury Johnsons' infant. |

Mynatt, G. Mynatt levied a security against the woman and his debt, making him a party to taxable property. |
