Susong claimed Allen instructed his black man to throw down Susong's fence (which he did) & Allen went through his field with a wagon, causing damage. Charles and Elizabeth, his mother, were exe. Of will of John Greene, dec. In previous case, judgment had been rendered in favor of Jobe and against plaintiffs for $411.46. Plaintiffs had paid $321.74 and paid balance sometime later. Jobe issued for whole execution at first, then remembered later that $321.74 was paid, but still wanting the rest of the judgment. Plaintiffs seek stay of execution, charging that they had paid balance. |

Wood was a constable in Cocke County. During a suit involving W. H. Fine, Fine & Wood gthered at Robert Mantooth's house. They argued about whether or not Wood was entitled to commissions as a constable. Fine said no, Wood said yes. Finally Wood told Fine to hand over the money to him, which was outside his obligations as constable, & ethically questionable. |
