A. J. Clark was visiting from Iowa and decided to sell his carriage and horses to Ferguson and return to Iowa on train. Ferguson later attempted to pay the note in Confederate money. Clark's agent initially refused the Confederate money but was pressured by threats to accept. Clark is now suing Ferguson for the note due. |

Charles sued Taylor, admr. of L. D. Franklin, dec., Elias Beal, and James White for purchase money due him for a tract of land he sold to White in August 1865 for $5,000. Taylor had obtained judgments against White and James L. Price for $6,212.48 for livestock Franklin sold to them. Beal levied Charles' land as payment toward judgment. Charles wanted injunction restraining Beal from selling the land until order of this court. |

Moyers charges Sharp & Houston for cheating and defrauding her of a valuable tract of 100 acres. Houston pressured Moyer to sign deed in which Houston promised to pay $25 a year for 5 years for lands he claimed was worth little. Houston gave note for $125 (for land Moyers found out was worth $800-900), which he never paid. Houston then fraudulently conveyed land to Sharp to avoid vendors lien in scheme to not pay for land. Moyers asks their deeds be made void and land given back. |

In 1862 the plaintiffs purchased from the defendant a tract of land in said County of about 470 acres. The purchase money agreed upon by the parties was $6,000, of which $3,000 was given up front and the balance was issued in promissory notes. A note was transferred to one Warren Hiten for $1,000. Although more time was left for payments, the defendant forcibly entered the plaintiff's property demanding full payment and through fraud convinced them he could bring legal action against them. |

By the terms of the agreement, the parties were to work under the firm name Fleming & Brooks and to share the profits equally and to share expenses. Brooks believes the defendant broke into his desk and destroyed his copy of the agreement before trying to dissolve the partnership and also took money made by the firm, part of which rightfully belongs to the plaintiff. |
