Perdue & Butler recovered a judgment against . B. Bate & Maj George Washington Winchester, in 1868 for $1264.92, Bte owed the money, & Winchester was security. However, Van Boddie recovered a judgment against Winchester, with Bate as security in 1860 for $1769. The Cragfont estate was levied as security. Suit filed to clarify where debts stood at the time of the suit, and to settle debts. |

In 1858 John Armfield visited Goodlettsville & sought lodging at the Magnolia house for his sister Mary & niece Rebecca Hanner, whose lodging & mercantile bills he paid for multiple years. The bills were paid until the 1860s, when Armfield blamed the change in currency (to CSA) to have caused him much trouble & embarrassment with paying his debts. Galbraith sued to recover the final debts owed by the Hanners for their purchases & lodging. |

In 1860 D. W. Mentlo recovered a judgment against R. N. Miers for $3795.61, but an exception was issued in 1865 on this judgment, which was levied on land belonging to Miers. Mentlo directed the Sheriff to sell the land to recover the judgment. James Woodard also obtained a judgment against Miers for $1187.52 in 1860, which was levied on land as well. Multiple judgments were made and levied Miers land. Suit filed to settle land and title ownership, as well as debts. |
