During the war, Bratton sold & slaughtered the hogs, reaped & sold crops, moved his family onto the property, then abandoning it after he had used it to profit for himself. Deposition includes account of enslaved people attempting to escape during the war. |

Wills ran a drug store in Nashville, until moving to Louisville with Robert Graves who began trading portions of Wills' estate and making investments. Graves was accused of taking advantage of Wills' senility. |
