Smithpeter was awarded a judgement against William C. Kyle & A. J. Mountcastle for $2419. Beal was the Sheriff of Hawkins County, & was sent out to collect an aliased, forfeited delivery bond. Partial payment was rendered, which led to extended cross suits & claims. |

Davidson rented Armstrong's farm from his agent, Maupin in 1871 with bank notes, and ended the year indebted to Maupin. Davidson was ordered to pay the debt with livestock, and farm equipment, and after 20 days Maupin could sell it at public auction. See Add'l documentation in box MT 269. |

Also spelled "Hydin". Defendants listed in the file. The plaintiff was discharged of his duties of administrator of the estate of Jacob S. Hampton (dec.) by his heirs. He was given a note for $300, but the defendants failed to pay the amount fully. |
