Additional Defendants: Hannah Wright, widow of Thompson Wright, and their son, John S. Wright. This case questioned the validity of a land sale, 56 acres, by William Uhles, the father of Amy J. Porter to Thompson Wright. No deed was found and no recording of the deed was found. Defendants sold the land to Jacob Eller in 1867, and claimed title through adverse possession. Plaintiffs claimed no land sale because Mrs. Porter's mother, Mrs. M. J. Lakes Uhles, was a minor and could not consent to it. |
